Thank you for committing to improving your skills and knowledge, so you will be able to better serve your clients and do so with less frustration. I look forward to sharing what I've learned and also hearing back from you so I can help you improve faster.
You're seeing this because you said you were interested in receiving additional information by email. Those emails come from a different computer system, so if you have added my personal email to your White List previously, you need to do it again - with the details below - so that you get the the great stuff.
We have some cool stuff to send your way, but there is something you need to do now to be sure you will receive it.
With an increase in unwanted emails, many e-mail services and internet service providers are now using programs behind the scenes to block what they interpret unwanted email, commonly called Spam.
To ensure you are going to see our emails you need to understand and do the following:
1. These emails will come from a variety of email addresses, including [email protected] or sometimes from my mailing system reply address of “[email protected]”. This is different from my personal or law firm email address that may already be in your contacts. You need to tell your email system that these messages are not spam.
2. If you sign up for any of my classes, you will be receiving emails that originate from [email protected]. Again, you will need to tell your system that these messages are not spam.
3. To be sure you’ll receive our emails, you need to tell your email system that emails from these sending address are acceptable. A “Whitelist” is just that - a list of accepted domain names or email addresses that your system will allow through.
Every email system creates a White List differently, and they are constantly changing. But in general you are looking for a way to mark our first email as either “important”, or add the sender of the email as an “approved” or as a “known contact”.
Find the first email from us. Select that email by clicking in the select box at the far left of the email Then click the tab labeled “More …” to see a drop-down list of options, and click to “Filter messages like this” Next you will see another dialog box with several options. It should show my email address in the “From” box. Click on “Create filter with this search” and go to the next screen. Check the box that says “Never send it to Spam”, and then click the “Create Filter” button.
Find the first email from us. Select that email by clicking in the select box at the far left of the email. Then click on the tab labeled “More …” to see a drop down list of options, and click on “Filter Emails Like This”. It should then say:
Filter name: Solo Professional Essentials
If an incoming message meets all of the conditions:
From “Contains” includes [email protected] or [email protected]
Then move the message to this folder: “Inbox”.
And then click Save. This will help insure emails remain in your inbox so you can read them.
Look in your Bulk Mail folder for the first email from us. If it is there, click to view the email. You should see two options at the very top, after the message “Mail thinks this message is Junk Mail.” Click on the button labeled “Not Junk”
If our email is in your inbox, select the first email from us. Click your mouse just to the right of our name as the sender. You should see some new options when you do that, including “Add to VIPs” and “Add to Contacts” Select one of these.
Click on “Mail” from the top Menu, and then Preferences. Under Junk Mail tab, click the option that says: The following types of messages are exempt from junk mail filtering: [X] Sender of message is in my Contacts
Right-click on the message from us in your inbox. From the menu that appears, select “Junk e-mail” to see additional options. From the second menu of options that appears, select “Add Sender to Safe Senders List.”
If you do not use any of these systems, and are still stuck, send me an email by clicking on the address below, and tell me what system you are using. I’ll look into getting you a personal answer.
